We all know that Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, and other popular streaming platforms have dominated the market, and Netflix is the daddy to all. But this has not stopped other services from joining the ring.

We have the new kid on the block- Peacock TV, launched in July 2020. Peacock is owned by NBC and so far the service has gained at least 54 million signups.

Subscribing to all the streaming services would be next to impossible. We have narrowed our research to compare two excellent services -Peacock and Hulu.

Comparison can be based on three main factors, the streaming services price, their availability on devices and apps, and the shows and movies each has to offer.

Which streaming service is the best between Peacock or Hulu?

Peacock draws its content from Comcast properties such as NBC, while Hulu has its content from Disney properties.

Hulu originals, movies, and shows include The Great, Marvel's Hit-Monkey. Dopesick, Nine Perfect Strangers, Drama, such as No Fue Mi Culpa, comedies such as Vacation Friends, etc

Peacock originals include The Amber Ruffin Show, Brave New World, Dr. Death, Rutherford Falls. Note that shows like The office can be watched for free.

Both services allow you to watch network content a day after it aired

Hulu seems to be on top with the addition of FX on Hulu, and while both have profound originals, Hulu seems to outdo Peacock

Apps and devices comparison

Hulu is accessible on most of the available streaming devices such as Amazon Fire Tv and Roku.

Meaning, when it comes to the availability of the services on apps and devices, Hulu wins the contest.

Punch Line

While Peacock seems to lag based on the comparison, it has something unique to bring to the table. It's a free, ad-supported tier.

There has been no other streaming device with such, not even Netflix, which is the daddy to all streaming platforms.

With this, Peacock has its space, and the issue of free tier could mean more than one would think. This can doubtless be used as a determinant when choosing between Peacock and Hulu.
