He was famously known as the "sage of Kanchi", one of the "Jagadgurus" of the Hindu religious and divine institution 'Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham' at Tamil Nadu in Kanchipuram.
The 'sage of Kanchi', is known to have reformed and converted a leader of the Indian National Congress into Hinduism. In his youth, he actively took part in the politically driven conditions and spiritually enthralled many souls.
