Kolkata, Dec 7, 2016: Just after a month, the Indore-Patna Express tragedy in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh killed over 100 people on November 20, the Dibrugarh-New Delhi Capital Express was derailed in Alipurduar district of West Bengal on Tuesday, leaving 12 injured.
The engine and the coach adjacent to it derailed, said the Northeast Frontier Railway.
The derailment occurred around 9 pm, in a place close to Samuktala Road Station in West Bengal's Alipurduar district that is about 720 kilometres from Kolkata. The injured were sent to a nearby hospital and necessary arrangements were made to safely send other passengers to Guwahati.
