First look of SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film “Baahubali 2” gets launched at MAMI Film Festival in Mumbai

October 23, 2016: The first look of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Conclusion, popularly known as Bahubali 2, will be released on Saturday, October 22. A couple of posters featuring Prabhas and Rana Dagubatti in the multilingual movie are expected to be unveiled at the ongoing Jio MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Image) Film Festival at 5:20 pm.

SS Rajamouli, and his lead stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, will be present at the event to launch the first look of Baahubali. The team will be sharing their experience on the making of the movie.

"I am really excited to share the first look of 'Baahubali 2' with all the fans. Doing it at MAMI Mela is going to be a lot of fun, especially with the entire cast on stage with me," Rajamouli told IANS.

Apart from the first look fo the film, a 360-degree making video and a graphics novel on the movie will be launched on the occasion. The Baahubali team will unveil the teaser to a virtual reality spin-off film set around the Baahubali world, which would give the audience a sneak-peek into a game, and comic book based on the epic film.

The upcoming movie is a sequel to Baahubali: The Beginning. The two-part movie has been made with a total budget of Rs 250 crore.

While the first part was released in 2015, the sequel will be out in 2017. It is an epic historical fiction that is rich in graphics. It will be released in three versions — Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The first instalment of the project was a blockbuster and earned over Rs 600 crore from the three versions at the box office. It's no wonder then that the second instalment is also expected to open big worldwide. (IANS)
