October 09, 2016: More than 80 people were reported dead after an airstrike Saturday on a high-profile funeral in Yemen's capital, Sana'a.
Reports said two explosions occurred at the funeral for the father of Jalal al-Ruweishan, interior minister of the rebel Houthi government. It was not clear whether the interior minister was harmed.

The government also said at least 500 people were wounded in the attack, which was reported by the rebel-allied Saba news agency. The dead and wounded reportedly included military and security officials of the Houthi government.
Witnesses blamed the strike on the Saudi-led coalition that supports the internationally recognised government of President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi. But the Saudi coalition had yet to comment, and at least one report blamed suicide bombers for the blasts.
Witnesses reported seeing mutilated and charred bodies among the wreckage of the funeral hall. (VOA)
