After the Partition, the 1950 agreement between India and Pakistan stated that former will take care of its Muslim people and latter will take care of its Hindu population, but this was obeyed in Pakistan. The Hindus have been persecuted in Pakistan for many years. There, Hindus are targeted for no reason and experience hardships until they convert their religion to Islam.

In 2010, Human Rights Commission report of Pakistan stated that nearly 20 to 15 girls are abducted every month and are forcibly converted to Islam. Hindus have always been the soft-targets in Pakistan. At the time when India and Pakistan separated, the population of Hindus in Pakistan was around 3 crores. Now, they are decreased to a small fraction in Pakistan since many of them have managed to escape the country somehow.

Recently, a 56-year-old Hindu doctor Preetam Das was gunned down in the Pak colony area in Karachi on August 4.

According to the website Dawn.com, Akhtar Farooq, SSP Investigation West said, "Dr Preetam Das was sitting in his clinic located in Hasrat Mohani colony at midnight on Thursday when someone attacked him."

He further added that the doctor's attendant went out buy a mobile card when the doctor was shot down. The doctor sustained the wound from the gunshot to the chest. "Hearing the gunshot, the assistant rushed to the clinic and found the doctor bleeding," said Farooq.

According to dawn.com reports, the assistant with the help of a friend, carried him on a motorbike and then shifted him to a rickshaw to transport him to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, explained the police official.

After the doctor's son, Mukesh Kumar was informed about the incident, he arrived at the hospital and shifted him to Aga Khan University Hospital where he died due to the injury while under treatment.

According to the SSP Investigation, the culprits didn't take any valuables.

The police of Pak colony have registered FIR 144/2016 under section 302(murder) and 34(common intention) of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against unknown culprits on the complaint of victim's son.

In another shocking incident, a 32-year old doctor from Hindu community was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital on July 29 in Karachi.

According to the PTI reports, a senior police official, Naeemuddin said: "Dr. Anil Kumar was found dead sitting in a chair yesterday after he had gone inside surgical ICU early in the morning."

He also said, "His death is being investigated as he was found dead in mysterious circumstances."

An official revealed, Kumar was found after he did not answer the knocks on the door of the surgical wing. then, the door was forcibly broken and he was discovered dead sitting in his chair. A syringe has been found from the spot.

Naeemuddin further said to PTI, "It appears he had administered an injection on his hand as it was bandaged." The syringe has ben sent for examination to the forensic laboratory, while the body was taken to the hospitals' mortuary for chemical examination.

US lawmaker is asking changes in Pak blasphemy law.

Congressman Brad Sherman tweeted that "Two Sindhi Hindu teenagers shot in Sindh. Another arrested for Blasphemy. Pakistan's blasphemy law need to be changed. Now."

According to The Hindu reports, Jhanaidah police station officer-in-charge, Hasan Hazipur Rahman said: "Symknando was collecting flowers for worship when three assailants riding a motorcycle attacked him with a machete."

Dhaka tribune quoted him saying "They hacked him mercilessly and fled the scene."

In another case, on June , a 65-year-old Hindu priest was murdered by three bike-borne assailants in the western Jhinaigh district in Pakistan, when he was on his way to a temple.
