One of the Netaji files says that Jawahar Lall Nehru was at cross with the government who uses the money of INA to fund the holiday trips of the government officials. He wanted the account of every penny. This habit of bureaucracy was adopted by him earlier.
Nehru in a file with file number 23 (156)/ 51-PM which is present in Prime Minister's Secretariat wrote, "I do not understand the way these so-called deputations are organised. Every holiday trip is treated as a deputation on business and the normal daily allowances and other charges are given. I do not think this is at all proper."

The sarcastic notes signed by him are found in Netaji files prove that he opposed the policy of government to use the funds to mask the official trips, which is prevalent now days also. Nehru urged that they should use the money acquired under INA and the Indian Independence League to give scholarships to Indian students.
