Hillary Clinton lands herself in soup over an email controversy

Hillary Clinton, who is expected to be US Democratic party`s next presidential candidate has raked a controversy by using her private email for government purposes.

The Obama administrative policy makes it clear that a congressman will have to use a government account rather than personal one in carrying out governmental work.

She broke her long silence over the issue in a press conference saying that she did nothing wrong by carrying on her government correspondence using her private email as it was convenient and she did not have to carry two phones.

Another important news which has made things difficult for the congresswoman is the fact that she has deleted half her inbox. Responding to a question about this during the press conference, she said that the messages involved her personal conversation with husband Bill Clinton, messages about planning daughter Chelsea's wedding, about her mother's funeral, yoga routines and family vacations.

'No one wants their personal email made public, and I think most people understand that and respect that privacy,' she said.
