ISI activates terror wings to derail Punjab, UP polls

NewsGram Desk

The Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has activated its terror outfits to carry out more terror activities in the state and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, the Intelligence agencies have warned, in order to derail the electioneering process in the state and to increase the Khalistani footprints in Punjab.

The ISI has activated all small and big terror groups that have been tasked to derail the poll process in the state, according to the sources. Considering the Punjab election as an apt opportunity to reactivate the Khalistani movement in the state, as well as in other poll-bound states where Sikh voters are in large numbers, the ISI has activated all small and big terror groups that have been tasked to derail the poll process in the state.

The information was supplied by the governments of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttrakhand, who revealed that these organisations may try to acquire support among Sikhs in other states as well. The ISI has also informed these banned Sikh militant outfits that it is now or never for Khalistan.

As a result, the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand have been ordered to keep a close eye on these activities and to maintain contact with Sikh religious leaders and significant figures in these states.

The ISI has directed Sikh militant groups operating in other countries to route guns and explosives into Punjab, as well as organisations such as the International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF) and Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) to organise weapons supply through Pakistani handlers.

According to the sources, Sikh militants Wadhava Singh Babbar of BKI, Parmjit Singh Panjawar of Khalistan Commando Force, and Ranjeet Singh Neeta of Khalistan Zindabad Force are in constant contact with ISI and are carrying out the orders, while Gurpatwant Singh Pannu of Sikh for Justice, who has already been declared a terrorist by Indian authorities, is active in the UK, the US, and Germany to support his men in Punjab.

They further said that the ISYF commanded by Lakhveer Singh, has a significant influence in the villages along the international border with Pakistan, and that many of his subordinates are skilled in the manufacture of bombs and other explosive devices. Singh has been charged with ensuring the safe transportation of these dangerous items through Punjab.

Drones used to ferry guns and explosives across the border have become a serious concern for security authorities along the Punjab border in recent years. Over 60 drone occurrences have been reported on the Indo-Pakistan border in the Punjab area, according to authorities. The Border Security Force has shot down many of them.

Investigations into the latest Ludhiana bomb have also shown how Sikh militant organisations are attempting to carry out terror acts in the state using overground employees.

ISI has also activated ancient terror organisations including Lashkar-e-Taiba.India today/wikipedia

The ISI has also activated ancient terror organisations including Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e Mohammed, Indian Mujahideen, and Hizbul Mujahideen, according to a top officer in the Punjab security grid, and urged them to reestablish its sleeper cell network in Punjab and other areas of UP as well. These terror wings headquartered in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir have been more active in Jammu and Kashmir through overground workers, especially since the Taliban gained control of Afghanistan in August last year. He further stated that extending the BSF's authority up to 50 kilometres from the border to the Punjab hinterland will enable security forces in preventing terror attacks during the next elections.
