The web series 'Transparency: Pardarshita' known for its bold and provocative content unveiled the most awaited jukebox and unheard stories of the making of its songs on Friday. Directed and produced by Munish Raizada, it is a seven-part documentary that reveals how the Aam Admi Party (AAP) shattered its foundational ideals of financial openness, decentralization of authority, and internal vigilance in order to gain power.

The story of the first track 'Kitna Chanda Jeb Mei Aaya' dates back to when the producer was in search of a vocalist who could pen down the emotions of the web series on paper. One of his journalist friends, Dinesh Gautam, recommended Annu Rizvi for the post during his hunt. Thereafter, Rizvi traveled from Sonipat to Faridabad, sat with Raizada, and discussed how the AAP party that came to power in the national capital with the vow of transparency and vigilance gradually went off track.

Following this, Rizvi wrote the song and convinced Pravesh Mallick to compose it. After much anticipation, legendary singer Udit Narayan was approached to lend his voice to the melody. Luckily, he consented to perform the song. Meanwhile, on the day of the recording, Narayan had a bad throat. But interestingly, a hot cup of coffee came to the rescue. He drank a few cups of coffee and continued to rehearse. After much effort, the thought-provoking song was finally created.

The second song, released under the Ditto Music label came into being while the team was shooting for the series. The producer realized that Delhi, as a state holds a great significance in itself. From the Indian anti-corruption movement to the emergence of the AAP, the entire show is based in and around Delhi. Therefore, a song that establishes the theme of the show and portrays the sentiment of the common man of the national capital is indispensable. Consequently, Annu Rizvi came up with the song 'Bol re Dilli bol' and Pravesh Mallick composed this song as well.

Now, the challenge was to find a singer. Ultimately, the team got in touch with singer Kailash Kher and the tune was released in the year 2019. The powerful song aptly expresses the feelings of every common man who has been duped by the Aam Aadmi Party's false potentiality.

In search of a guiding light, the protagonist of the online series 'Transparency' travels to Sewagram, the site of Mahatma Gandhi's ashram. There is no need for proof to suggest that Sawani Mudgal's delivery of the renowned Hindi Bhajan 'Vaishnav Jan To' is intimately tied to Gandhi Ji. The melody is a diverse, colorful, and rich version of the hymn filled with regional flavor. As a result, the creators felt compelled to include this timeless bhajan in the series.

Through these songs, the non-transparency of funds raised by the left party has been brought to light. The songs are a clear reflection of how the general population is left in disbelief and anguish when they anticipated systemic improvements. The songs also boldly threaten the Aam Aadmi party members with detention if they do not clean up their act.

MX Player and Amazon Prime also have a free version of the highly-rated political documentary series.
