The Indian Epics’ Magnificence Is Unparalleled!

Saudi Arabia, the origin of Islam and home to Mecca and Medina, will soon introduce classic Indian epics in Saudi classrooms. The Ramayana and Mahabharata, two of India's oldest and greatest epics, will soon be included in Saudi Arabia's school curriculum.

This move was taken as part of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's Vision 2030 agenda. It's a tremendous move towards openness and inclusiveness, a powerful gesture of togetherness and diversity, and a vivid indication of India's organic ties with Saudi Arabia.

All of the country's schools are supposed to follow the same curriculum in the near future. It will cover Hinduism and Buddhism's history, the Ramayana and Mahabharata lessons, the principles of Karma and Dharma, and the significance of traditional practices such as Yoga and Ayurveda would also be included in the same.

There are projected to be 4,40,000 Hindus living in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After the United Arab Emirates, it is the Arab world's second-largest Hindu population. The incorporation of Indian epics in school curricula drew the attention of everybody. This is done in order to broaden their pupils' multicultural understanding and worldwide awareness.

These texts contain a tremendous wealth of knowledge that needs to be conveyed in a way that students can understand. These epics are worth reading, discussing, and spreading as they provide a glimpse into the past civilization, customs, and the great moral values through their perspectives, ideologies, and beliefs.

Students can be taught fundamental principles and values through storytelling. The Ramayana and Mahabharata, in particular, espouse a number of ideals that anybody would like to instill in their kids. Rather than just educating students about moral principles, instances from such epics should be given as it would be more effective in instilling it in them.

The initiative to incorporate Hindu epics in Saudi's school curriculum illustrates how natural India and Saudi Arabia's connection is. Numerous Saudi Arabians have praised the reform, claiming that the curriculum will assist to produce a coexisting, progressive, and peaceful generation. Well, it's a pity that our own country ignores such important texts in our educational system, while other countries make use of such wisdom in their classrooms.
