Apple Refreshes its Operating Systems for iPhones, Watches

Apple has refreshed the operating systems of iPhones and Apple Watches with the release of updated iOS 12.4 and WatchOS 5.3 versions.

Introduced on Monday, the update for its mobile OS introduces "iPhone migration to directly transfer data from an old iPhone to a new iPhone" during setup along with enhancements in device security and Apple News Plus, CNET reported.

Apple News Plus would allow downloaded issues in the "My Magazine" option available on and offline, according to Apple's support page.

All the publications part of Apple's news services would be available at the top of the News Plus feed.

The new WatchOS 5.3 includes a security fix for the Walkie-Talkie app on the watch.

The new WatchOS is a free download through the Apple Watch app. (IANS)
