Damdama Lake is one of the largest Indian lakes and is situated in Haryana. It is also one of the most famous weekend getaway destinations around Delhi. This Indian lake is famous for the activities which take place around it like rock-climbing, trekking, fishing, etc.
Chilka Lake
This Indian lake is the brackish water lake. Chilka is the largest coastal lake in India. Situated in Orissa, it is Asia's largest inland salt-water lagoon. Its real name is Chilika Lake, and its main attractions include fishing boats, rare birds, flora and fauna, etc. This lake is also one of the favourites of the tourists.

Bhimtal Lake
Bhimtal Lake is totally a tourist's lake. This Indian lake is situated in Uttarakhand and is one of the largest lakes of its Kumaun region. This lake is a magnificent view of the tourists and one can also spot various migratory birds here. Another famous lake near this one is the Naini Lake in Nainital.
Lonar Lake
Lonar Lake is one of the oldest lakes not only in India but in the world. This lake is situated in Maharashtra and is famous for the ways government is preserving it. The lake is beautiful and perfect for a vacation. It is also the only meteoric crater in India!
