New Delhi, August 27, 2017: India is a land of diversity, however not only is the diversity seen in race or religion but also the difference in faith and belief system has taken a unique form now. Such is the fib of the self-styled godman, Ram Rahim Singh. The Dera chief started exploiting girls at a young age, for which he was thrown out of the school.

The credibility of Sirsa's Dera Sacha Sauda has taken its toll. But at some point in time, this Dera used to be a center of reverence and devotion in most of the surrounding states, including Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and UP. The foundation of this ashram was laid on March 29, 1948, 69 years ago, by the Balochistan saint Mastana Ji Maharaj. People say that he was an ardent saint, and also undertook many social services.

Due to tampering with girls, Ram Rahim was also removed from the school in the Ninth class.

According to Aaj Tak report, Gurdas Singh used to be a special servant of Baba Ram Rahim. He used to worship him. But, as he got closer to Baba, he got himself away from his devotion. He saw Baba's cave with his eyes, besieged with helpless Sadhvis and Baba playing rasalila.

Every morning, Ram Rahim's song used to play in the background while he stood on the fountain and placed his legs in the water. The women followers then used to break down to drink water under his feet.

Ram Rahim has also opened a girls' school which is close to his living place, that is, the cave of the ashram. People who have been his devotees tell that in fact, he started exploiting girls from this girl's school. Sadhvis used to brainwash girls and bring them closer to him. Every year on his birthday he used to do with his sages and students in his school.

Even if we dig out the history, such people have evolved from time to time and collapsed as well. However, some sects of the society still uphold the self-styled godmen every time an old fad drops and new cult arise.
