New Delhi, March 7, 2017: "No List No Donation" campaign also known as Chanda Bandh Satyagraha's team performed a 'Havan' (a ritual wherein offerings are made into sacred fire}at the premises of the Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place, Delhi on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

The purpose of the Havan was to purify AAP from the corrupt leadership and bring some sense of morality within the 'ChandaChors' (AAP leaders who are misappropriating AAP's funding). They have deviated from the path of truth and righteousness, with which the party had begun.

NewsGram brings to you latest new stories in India.

The havan was performed according to the rituals of the Arya Samaj.

The campaign, spearheaded by AAP volunteers and members is fighting for the founding principle of financial transparency.

Since June last year, the AAP has stopped revealing details of its donors' list and income and expenses statement on its website. AAP, which claims to be the mascot of clean politics, has now paved way for corruption within the party through undisclosed, unregulated funding from unknown sources.

Dr. Munish Raizada, former co-convener of the NRI wing of AAP had said, "on 22nd of December 2016, we had gone to meet Anna Hazare in his village and had informed him about the corruption happening in the party. Then we started the Chanda Bandh Satygraha on the 24th of December 2016 from Rajghat. We, the core workers of AAP including myself, Jaianath ji, Madhav ji and a few more had also gone to Kejriwal's residence to present him with the Bhagwat Gita, which he refused to accept. We wanted to give him the Gita because we wanted him to follow the path of righteousness. We are not against the party, we are against the corrupt leader of the party and the ChandaChor gang within the party. We want Kejriwal to resign."

Mr. Jaianath Misra, an 80-year-old UK resident and one of the original volunteer of the AAP said, "Kejriwal thinks that because he has come to power, it gives him the right to not to listen to the public, and thinks, he can do whatever he wants to do. But I want to remind Kejriwal that the public had voted him, the public will only vote him out. Without the public, a politician is nothing."

The havan attracted many curious passers-by who shared similar sentiments as that of the Satyagrahis.

Notably, the people present there not only supported Chanda Bandh Satygraha but also expressed their dissatisfaction with Delhi Chif Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his unfulfilled promises and not doing his duty as the CM of Delhi honestly.

One of the passers-by commented, " When Mohalla clinics are being opened in Delhi, then why does Kejriwal himself goes to Bangalore for medical treatment?" Another commented, "He said he wouldn't reside in the official bungalow, but he is residing!"

Likewise people expressed their feeling of betrayal by Kejriwal, who promised Delhi 'Panch Saal Kejriwal' ( If voyed to power, he will only focus on Delhi for 5 years) but now is running to Punjab, Gujrat and Goa.
