Manipal, Feb 17, 2017: Naela Quadri Baloch on Thursday, a staunch campaigner for Balochistan's independence from Pakistan, stated "We seek all kinds of intervention from international community to save Baloch people and stop Pakistan from carrying out genocide in Balochistan."
She was present in a lecture "Genocide in Balochistan by Pakistan and its implications" organised by Department of Geopolitics and International Relations, Manipal University. She spoke that the genocide of Baloch people by the Pakistani Army is a major problem, while addressing to presspersons on the backdrop of the lecture. She was apprehensive of wiping out of Baloch people due to the inaction of international community.

She claimed that Pakistani army has exploited the mineral assets and resources of Balochistan worth $ 53 trillion dollars. Balochistan accounts 44 per cent landmass of Pakistan, hence, Pakistan is targeting it.

"We respect Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and we respect the words he spoke at the Red Fort (on August 15, 2016) and India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj spoke in U.N. General Assembly (in September 2016) on the issue of Balochistan. But after these remarks, the killing of Baloch people by the Pakistani army has multiplied. Earlier, they (Pakistani army) were saying you (Balochs) are RAW agents, now they are saying you are Indians," she stated.
