Test Cricket is one of the oldest forms of cricket, which is played constantly for a period of five days. Whereas, in ODI (one day international) cricket match it is played for a day and both of the teams can play for 50 overs.

The 1996 ICC Cricket World Cup final between Australia v/s Sri Lanka was hosted in this stadium. It was won by Sri Lanka. 5. The Wanderers, Johannesburg (South Africa)

Johannesburg is situated in South Africa. It holds the record of chasing world's highest score of 434 by South Africa against Australia. This ground also hosted the first test match between South Africa and England in 1956 and Africa was defeated by the England. It also hosted the World Cup 2003 final match which was played between India and Australia where Australia defeated India.

4. Eden Gardens, Kolkata (India)

3. Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne

MCG is the short form of is the Melbourne Cricket Ground and it is considered as largest cricket stadium in the list of Top 10 Best Cricket Stadiums in the world. It was established in 1854 and total capacity of MCG is over 95,000. This stadium hosted the final match of world Cup 1992 which took place between Pakistan and England and the former defeated the later. Melbourne cricket ground is of great importance in the history of cricket because it has hosted the first ever International Test Matches which was played in between Australian and England and the first ever ODI matches in 1971 and against between these two teams. But the interesting thing is that Australians defeated English in both the events.

2. The Oval, Kennington (London)

In the list of Top 10 Best Cricket Stadiums in the World the Oval, Kennington London is also of great significance the Oval has not only performed the hosting responsibilities of cricket events but also played the first ever Football FA final match in this ground. It bears the responsibility of hosting the first test match in England. The total capacity of this ground is 23,500 and first test match was played here in 1880. It is the most beautiful stadium in the world and also hosted too many exciting Ashes test and ODI series in the past. One end of the ground is known as Vauxall end because the Oval is situated near to the Vauxhall Tube station.

The founder of The Lords, Cricket Ground, London is Thomas Lord. It was founded in 1814. "The Lords" is also called the Home of Cricket. It has remained the center of ICC committee for a long period of time. The first match was played here in 1884. The importance of this ground can easily be judged in the list of Top 10 Best Cricket Stadiums in the World that many final matches of the World Cup have been played here on this ground, like 1975, 1979, 1983 and 1999. This ground is also considered as the home-ground to the Marylebone Cricket Club, and many of the home matches have been played here in the Lords.
