Pakistan Rangers initiates indiscriminate shelling in Samba district

Jammu: The Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir witnessed an outrage on Sunday when Pakistan Rangers resorted to indiscriminate shelling and firing targeting over a dozen villages and Border Security Force outposts along the international border.

"Pakistan Rangers are using mortar shells and heavy weapons to target over a dozen villages and BSF outposts along the border in Samba district," a senior police officer told reporters.

"The targeted outposts include Khoada, Mangu Chak, Ragal, Challyarian, SP 4 and Malu Chak in Ramgarh sector. The BSF gave an effective response and heavy shelling and firing was still on," he said.
