With Independence Day close at hand, an alleged threat has been issued to Ramjas College, Delhi University about an attack that might take place before or after the 15th of August 2015.

The college authorities, under such an alarmed situation, have increased the security outside as well as inside the premises of the institute. The security guards have been instructed to not allow anybody to enter the college gate without a photo ID card. On the other hand, the hostel timings earlier allowed students out till 10 pm which now is not the case. All the students residing in the hostel have been ordered to be back by 8 pm.

"Our dramatics society used to be in college till late at night for our practices. But now, we have been forbidden to do so. Yesterday, around 3 pm we were told to leave the college and practice elsewhere. Nothing like this has ever happened before", says Ridhi Negi, a 3rd-yr student of Ramjas.

There has been no disruption in classes held in the college. A tight security has been wrapped around this ancient college of Delhi University, currently a probable target of ISIS.

The college authorities could not be contacted for further information.
