Morning Ragas at Tihar Jail pay tribute to Girija Devi

New Delhi: Morning ragas at Tihar Jail on Friday paid tribute to eminent classical singer Girija Devi.

Morning Ragas is an initiative to rehabilitate inmates of Asia's largest prison complex. It was celebrating its third edition.

It began with a rendition by Sunanda Sharma, the seniormost disciple of Girija Devi.

The inmates joined her in the chorus.

"We face a lot in life but the moment we start working towards success that is the moment when life comes into play", Sunanda said after her performance.
